Transfer (ftp):

Once the package has been exported from the editing system the team proceeds to the nearest internet connection. This is usually found and tested the day before, so it is possible to predict the duration of the upload process.

Playouts in Vienna can be made across a high-speed fibreglass connection and provide real-time transfers, depending on the target server.

This means

Transfers to foreign countries may take longer to upload. If possible, exact transfer times will be communicated the day before.

- Preparation and encoding times following finalised editing and prior to upload:

Per minute of package = 3 minutes of rendering, which means that a 5 minute package requires at least a further 15 minutes of work prior to the upload.
